Bar the 12

In craps, bar the 12 is a rule stating that bars 12 from being a winning bet for wrong players (players making a don’t pass bet). Because of this rule, instead of being a winning roll, a roll of 12 results in a standoff (a tie bet).

This rule ensures that the casino always has a slight advantage over wrong players.
