Trips (Three of a Kind)

In the context of poker, the term trips refers to a hand containing three cards of the same rank. Trips is the seventh most powerful hand in poker, being ranked between a straight and two pair.  The true odds of being dealt three of a kind during a hand of Texas Hold’em poker is 2.1128%.

This combination of cards is more commonly called three of a kind.
