A player (aka a gambler) is a person who plays games at an online casino or a land-based casino.
Casino gamblers can be split into several categories. Casual and novice players who don’t know how to play the game properly are often referred to as pigeons, while seasoned veteran players who have fully mastered such concepts such as card counting and basic strategy in blackjack are called card sharks. Players who bet very small amounts are known as low-rollers. On the other end of the spectrum are high-rollers. These players bet large amounts of money and often receive valuable comps from the casino.
