Grease

In casino slang, the term grease is used to indicate a bribe given to the dealer in exchange for an illegal action. Cheaters may attempt to grease the palms of a dealer in exchange for them pretending not to notice a certain, cheating-related event. For example, a greased dealer might not call out a cheater’s fouled hand in poker or pretend not to notice that a player is capping.

Attempting to bribe a dealer will invariably result in a player getting barred from the casino and added to the black book. A casino dealer who is found to be taking bribes will be fired immediately.
