An active player is a player who is still participating in the game, pot, or hand, and has a stake in the outcome game.
In poker, you are considered an active player from the start of the round and until you fold. At that point, you become inactive, as you no longer have a stake in the outcome of the game.
An active player is the opposite of an inactive player.
Active players:
- Are still participating in the game (actively or passively)
- Have a stake in the outcome of the game
